Groverow Privacy Policy

Your ledger stays on your device. Groverow sends only the data needed for market lookups, purchases, optional reports, website analytics, support and email requests.

1. What never happens

  • We do not sell your data or show ads.
  • We do not receive broker credentials or place trades.
  • Holdings, share counts, costs, transactions, dividends, account names and portfolio names have no analytics path.
  • Core app use needs no account or password.

2. Data we use

2.1 Your ledger

Portfolios, accounts, holdings, transactions and received dividends stay in a local database. They remain until you delete the Account, uninstall the app or export them.

Purchase and policy settings can remain in the operating system keychain after uninstall. They remain until you remove the keychain entry.

2.2 Market lookups and data reports

Market lookups send ticker symbols and your IP address to Groverow. We use them to return delayed quotes, dividend dates and exchange rates. Tiingo supplies market data behind our service.

An optional data report sends the ticker, category, relevant dates, per-share amount and a local record identifier. We delete the report 12 months after acting on it.

2.3 Purchases

Apple App Store or Google Play handles payment. RevenueCat receives the store receipt, transaction identifiers and an anonymous install identifier to unlock and restore Grow. We never receive your card number.

The store keeps purchase records under its terms. RevenueCat keeps the entitlement record while Grow remains available.

2.4 Website analytics

Groverow uses PostHog to count page views, page exits, calculator use and launch-list requests. Events contain a page path and anonymous identifier. They exclude calculator inputs, URL queries, tickers, amounts, IP-derived location and session recordings.

Hosting and security providers process IP addresses and request data to deliver and protect the website and API. Groverow keeps no separate website access log.

2.5 Email and support

If you join the launch list, our email delivery service receives your address, page path, browser type and IP address. We use them for one launch email and abuse prevention. We keep the address until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it.

If you email support, we receive your address and message. We delete the support thread 12 months after it closes.

3. Service providers

  • Apple App Store and Google Play — payment and receipts.
  • RevenueCat — purchase verification and restoration.
  • PostHog — website analytics.
  • Tiingo — market data supplied to Groverow.
  • Email delivery service — the optional launch list, operated by WaveApp LLC.
  • Hosting and security providers — delivery and protection of website and API traffic.

4. Your rights

You can ask us to show, correct, delete, restrict, export or stop using personal data we hold about you. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.

Write to support@groverow.app. We answer within one month. App records are controlled through the app; purchase records are controlled through the store.

5. Children

Groverow is not directed at children. We delete personal data on request.

6. Contact and material changes

We will tell you in the app's update notes before a material change affects the data we use or your rights.
